Roger
K.P. Mckinley has over 25 years experience playing bagpipes.
He started taking lessons during his late teens, quickly progressing
into the grade IV competition band within a year of his first
lesson.
Roger has performed in multiple countries around the world;
from bringing in the new millennium on New Years Eve 2000
in Scotland, to playing a memorial concert on Scottish Smallpipes
in 2007 for the late Maori Queen Dame Te Atairangikaahu in
New Zealand.
He has been a member for multiple award winning pipe bands
over the years and played countless weddings, memorials, holiday
celebrations and other special events.
During his years on Maui, Roger has been the Pipe Major of
the local pipe band, playing at island’s premier venue
- ‘The Maui Arts and Cultural Center’, and added
pipes to a virtually every milepost of life; from celebrations
of birth to the spreading of ashes.
Experience Roger McKinley as the Mad Bagpiper every Sunday
at the Irish pub ‘Mulligans
on the Blue’ in Wailea.
